Sneak Peek: The Minne Stuga

Take a behind-the-scenes look at an A-frame cabin renovation near Grand Marais, Minnesota.

Cabin and cottage season is upon us, and we’re excited to partner with Minnesota-based blogger Melissa Coleman, of The Faux Martha, on her renovated A-frame cabin named “The Minne Stuga.” Here is a sneak peek at the project, which will feature the new Marvin Skycove and Marvin Awaken Skylight products, as well as Signature Ultimate windows and doors.

Our photography team visited the cabin this spring to capture footage of window and door installation and they put together this teaser.

The Minne Stuga is located in northern Minnesota just 15 minutes from downtown Grand Marais, on Devil Track Lake. The cabin is part chalet and part A-frame, almost entirely made of cedar. It is being restored by Taiga Design+Build with the goal of making it a year-round, low-maintenance, efficient structure while blending a contemporary take and still honoring the character of the late ‘60s-early ‘70s design.

You can head over to Melissa’s blog to see the before photos of the cabin, learn about her exterior restoration plans, and find out more about her design inspiration.

Here’s a sneak peek of the Marvin Skycove and Signature Ultimate windows and doors being installed. We can’t wait to see the finished project!
